BCST focuses on supporting the nervous system and the "Breath of Life" through a client-driven process, whereas other approaches may use more direct, "find it and fix it" methods.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST)
• Approach: Passive, client-led, and non-manipulative.
• Focus: Supports the body's natural healing abilities by listening to and following the subtle rhythms of the cerebrospinal fluid and the body's inherent "potency".
• Practitioner's role: Acts as a facilitator by creating a quiet space for the body to self-correct. The practitioner senses and reflects the client's process rather than imposing a correction.
• Underlying theory: Draws from embryological development and the "Breath of Life" as primary ordering forces in health.
Other Craniosacral Therapies (often biomechanical)
• Approach: Can involve more direct manipulation or "fixing" of specific points of tension or restriction.
